Dear Cathy and Al,
I am writing to thank you again for our little girl poodles - Lexi and Katie! We love them so much already and look forward to a long and happy life with them.

We were so impressed with your knowledge about poodles - especially important for 2 dog loverswho had never been "poodle parents". Your kindness, enthusiasm, and patience were amazing! We learned so much from you on the first visit, and felt much comfort and support when we came to pick up our girls a week later. We cannot thank you enough for keeping them an extra week - so cheerfully - as we had much to do to prepare our home for new pups!

Lexi and Katie weighed 3.7 and 4 lbs. on their first vet visit - and the vet said they are very healthy.

They love people - and have been a big hit with all of our neighbors. They also love dogs and cry when they see one that is too far away for them to greet :-). We have not tried the dog park yet - waiting on 3rd set of shots next week as you recommended.

These dogs love each other and play so much, love any toy we give them, and have played fetch since their second day home. They are full of energy and so funny! Oh and they love to be in our laps already!

Again - we cannot thank you enough for these precious puppies - please know that they will be loved every day - and we will keep in touch with pics and emails frequently!!!

We have recommended you to several people already - and would love to be on your website.

Sincerely,
Susan and Duane Gamble (and Lexi and Katie, Daidy and Jasmine (the birds))

Hello Cathy,
I enjoyed the gallery of grand puppies and wanted to send a photo of my two guys. Dexter, the sheltie, born July 25, 2008 and Elliott, the yorkie, born July 2, 2008.

I have always been impressed with their lovely temperaments and know that you are responsible for this great start in life. It is clear that you give love and play to your dogs, and pair the dam/sire well because these two couldn't be any better. They are both 7 years old now but still as playful, loving and smart as when I brought them home. And I so appreciate that you put them together to sleep and play and get to know each other for the few weeks before I could bring them home. They are truly brothers. I always sing your praises and would look to you for any future babies though I do hope my guys will be around for a while longer. they are healthy happy critters. Auguste, the cat appreciates them as well... most of the time:-).

With all the bad dog breeders around, you are a gem.

Affectionately,
Susan Holmstrom (and Dexter and Elliott)

Hi Cat & Al,
You were on my mind and so I decided to check in and see how you all are doing.  How is Al’s father?  Needless to say we think of you both many times a day—every time we love on our babies.  They are such a wonderful joy and it is difficult to imagine life without them.

As of last week Oreo has become quite the bruiser, weighing in at 6 lbs.  Sugar Bear is still our little “dynamite comes in small packages” weighing in at 3.8 lbs.  They are so sweet and loving—Oreo has such a tender disposition toward his brother.  Even though he is so much larger he “lets” Sugar Bear “win” sometimes when they are playing tug of war with their toys.  It is incredible how much they play and “talk” to each other.  I told Greg I think they have their own language (like they say twins haveJ).  Oreo will lay down in front of Sugar Bear and just carry on—not barking nor growling—just “talking” and when he stops it’s like Sugar Bear says something back to him and on and on it goes until they have made their decision of “what they need to get into”J and off they go.

They are completely potty trained (have been for weeks).  They sleep all night (with us by the wayJ) and get up around 7 ready to hit the potty padsJ.  We moved their crate/play pen area into the master bedroom and they come and go at will.  When we go away we put them inside and close their crate door and they seem perfectly satisfied.  For the most part the crying has stopped when we take them in the car or golf cart—we’ve been trying to take them on short rides to prove that going in a moving vehicle doesn’t always end up at the doctor’s officeJ.  Of course they are going to get neutered next month and after that ride we may never get them in the car againJJ.

We have found a groomer that has a mobile grooming van and comes to the house and we are very pleased with her.  She has been grooming poodles (she raises poodles herself) for approximately 40 years and made a video on her smart phone of each of them while she was grooming them so we could see how they did.  Believe it or not when I bathed each of them yesterday they sat in the sink and were so well behaved—Oreo never ceases to amaze meJ.

Attached are some photos taken a couple of weeks ago—the first one is them “patiently?” waiting for their breakfastJ.

Again, thank you for these little bundles of love and joy.  We are so thankful for them and for both of you—two of the sweetest people of earth.  Wish that we lived closer so we could go out for dinner sometime.  If you can ever get away for a day or two and Al wants to play golf (you too Cat, if you golf, if not you and I will find something to doJ) with Greg please know that we would love to have you all visit and spend some time together.

Hugs and love to you both, Mama Lucky and Daddy Almond Joy,
Jewel, Greg, Oreo & Sugar Bear

Time flies when you are having fun.

Gidget is a card carrying therapy dog. You can see her Mommy's hair in her and see her Daddy's color around the snout. She is always up for a game and always makes us smile.

She is such a play baby and a clown. We are so thankful for her.

Best to you and praises,

Hi Cathy and Al,

Dakota and I say hello!!

I was just thinking about you and I am so greatful for Dakota, and I wanted to send you some photos on how we are doing!

Dakota and I are the bestest friends and it's because of you. Dakota says hello to his mommy and daddy.

He is a very pretty and healthy puppy and we keep him on his meds (heartworm, fleas and ticks, etc.). I have him on a weekly schedule for baths. He loves to play with my dog Molly (a black lab) and they've become the bestest friends as well. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. :)

Hi Cathy and Al,

I have had a few pets as I grew up but I always wanted a Yorkie I had the honor of having one for 4yrs named Yogi and tragedy I had him taking away from me suddenly. But through Yogi I was able to meet Mrs. Cat and her husband from which they begun grooming Yogi for me. So when I lost Yogi I knew exactly who could help me fill the lost so that's when I began the adoption of Cashe and now I am in LOVE all over again... So thanks to Cat Pups for helping me find my family a new member.

Hi Cathy and Al,

It's been four months now and I had to let you know how great the dogs are doing.  I am so glad that we decided to get two yorkie poo puppies instead of one.  They love each other so much, keep each other company, and play all of the time!!

After looking for a reputable yorkie poo breeder, I was thrilled to find you, and especially happy that you are so close to Tampa.  The entire process was so easy and fun, and your knowledge and expertise is impressive.  It is more than obvious how much you love your dogs.  I never doubted your care and concern for all of your dogs.  And, I always appreciated your quick responses to all of my questions and all the cute pictures you sent along the way.

So, thank you again for everything!  I have attached a recent picture of adorable Duke and Daisy.

Cathy & Al,
Sookie still looks like her mama Izzie and Gator looks like his grandpa Sir Michael...both are gorgeous and healthy. We also have Flip (our oldest rescue) who loves their company, but Sookie and Gator are inseparable! We love them all so much.  They are such a HUGE part of our family!!!

I'd love another female. Don't worry...when I decide for sure you will be the first and ONLY person I contact:-)

Hope all is well,

Cathy & Al,
My Wife and I have had Shelties for over twenty years but we never, ever, have experienced Shelties so smart and well adjusted from day one. Their socialization from the start was remarkable. We have two other adult Shelties and we thought we would have some slight problem introducing the two new babies two our two older ladies. Imagine our surprise and amazement when these two little darlings played with the old ladies right out of the car. Buying puppies is one thing. Adopting well adjusted confidently socialized babies who learn at an exponential rate is truly rare. We love them so much, we're getting another dog from Cat and Al this Saturday. It's not every day you meet a couple with such professionalism , caring and love. Thank you thank you thank you Guys

Cathy & Al,
We just wanted to say thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to raise and love such an amazing little puppy. Tubbs is the best new addition puppy we could have ever asked for. He is so cuddly and loving and we know with out any doubt it started with you both. We are so grateful he had such a great start to his family and life. We were so blown away by the level of care and comfort you give all the dogs you own. Our whole experience purchasing Tubbs was night and day from the breeder we bought our first dog in 2011. I would highly recommend going to see Cat, she made us feel so at home and welcome to be there. I can't even express how happy we are to have him. He and our other dog Crockett are best friends and partners in crime.
Yes, Crockett & Tubbs, named after Miami Vice. :) Thank you again for our little bundle of joy.

For everyone to read:

We found Cat's pups after checking local breeders, we just did not feel comfortable with them. They were ok, but just not like Cathy Abrams and her love for yorkies. We drove 2 hours to her home. We saw the love and care she and Al have for their breeding dogs. With their mommy and daddies there, we had a hard time choosing our little girl but picked one of her angels. Our vet was very pleased with how efficient she was prepared. Because her pups with health records and making the information so much easier for him. I would recommend Cat's Pups to anyone looking for a puppy. This is the most caring breeder I have ever met.

Cathy and Al,

In April of 2008, I decided I wanted a Yorkie. One of my dear friends had 2 Yorkies at the time and took me to see Cathy along with 2 other breeders. I was not impressed with the first two breeders. Needless to say, when we arrived at Cathy and Al’s home, I knew I had to have one of her babies. That day, I received our first which we named Bella. It was love at first sight! I knew that Cathy took very special care of all her babies and they were a very important part of her life. I had many questions after bringing Bella home and had many conversations with Cathy and never felt like I was “bugging” her. In 2010 we decided that our Bella needed a playmate and again, I called Cathy. Fortunately, she just had a litter and there was another girl available which I told her I wanted without even seeing her. I did drive up a few days later to see “Lola” and was able to bring her home a few weeks later. But, I was not hesitant to buy “sight unseen”. Our babies are very spoiled and have such good personalities. I can’t remember life without them! Thanks Cathy and Al for bringing these babies to us.

It will be two years this April (2009,) since we have had our Yorkie. Co Co is truly a joy and her personality wins everyone over. She weighs four and one half pounds and continues to be a happy and healthy member of the family. After we got Co Co she was house broken in two months with very few "accidents". She is a very very smart and it goes without saying "she is spoiled". She is truly a People Pet! Your follow up with us after we got Co Co is testament to your caring attitude for all of your pets and new owners. If anyone is considering a Yorkie, I would be more than happy to share our wonderful experience with our little furry family member.

Thank you SO much for all your help! Daisy is so sweet and we really love her! Thru her "rough" start in life with a broken leg as a puppy, you were right there for us with advice and guidance. Your kindness and dedication to your clients and the breed itself show the quality of person you truly are and the love for the breed you have. It is so hard today to find a knowledgable and caring breeder who even after the "sale" will answer any and every question owners have about their dogs or the breed in general. Thank you for all the continued help and support!

Hi Cathy, This is Charlie Venero and I purchased a papillon from you in Oct 2008. I just wanted to send you a line and let you know how we are doing and send you some photos. He is such a joy and I love him so much. I love taking him everywhere. He misbehaves a little but he makes up for it with his love for me. We snuggle, we kiss, and he loves being next to me ALL of the time. He is like a child asking me to pick him up all of the time. I have told many people that if they ever wanted a terrific breeder, that would be you. Enjoy the pics which I have entered into photo contests because my baby is sooooo cute. Thanks forever, Charlie and Villian

Our family has two of Cathy's Sheltie puppies, Maxie and Dakota. Gary has always loved Shelties. We set out to find a puppy for Gary's birthday. We made several phone calls and talked to several people before we found Cathy. As soon as we came for our first visit we were taken by the beautiful setting, the lovely home and wonderful conditions the dogs live in. They even have their own very large room with lots of windows, an air conditioner and their own flat screen TV!! We fell in love with little Maxie who was five weeks old. Cathy encouraged us to come back to visit and bond with our puppy, so we did on two consecutive Sundays. We brought Maxie home in August, 2007 when she was 8 weeks old. Cathy is so sweet and really great with her dogs and puppies. She has a fantastic place and we love to visit. She was very kind to show us around and introduce us to all her boys and girls and she has always been patient and kind about answering all our questions and letting us take our time visiting with our new babies. She never made us feel rushed or pushed us to make our decisions. I would truly recommend anyone who is looking for a puppy to please call her and go to see her and her puppies. It is more than worth any drive you may have to make. We are about an hour and a half away and we would gladly drive three times that far again. She really wants you to be happy with your new puppy and she wants her puppies to have really good homes. Her puppies are definately more than just a business to her, the mommies and daddies are her kids and the puppies, her grandchildren and she wants and gives only the best for them. When we decided Maxie needed a little brother or sister we contacted Cathy again (by now we wouldn't even think of going any where else) and Dakota came home in April, 2008 when he was 9 weeks old. Today they are both the loves of our lives. Maxie is the quiet shy type and Dakota is the wild child, but they get along great and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Cathy for two of the sweetest babies in the world and for all your help, patience and understanding when we were getting them. Give her a call, you won't be sorry!

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful new additions to our family! Foxy and Maxie have been great. The Vet. has commented on how healthy and happy they are. Everyone who meets my girls are impressed at how friendly and outgoing they are. I don't believe that they have ever met a stranger. And also i would like to thank you both for being there anytime we had questions or needed some advise for the girls. You both feel like part of our family now. I truly believe that the way you inter grated my family and the girls from their birth has been the key to our happiness. I have owned many animals in my life but until now the transition from your home to mine has never been so easy. You can be assured that y'all will be the only ones that we deal with in the future.

Thank You, Dave, Foxy, Maxie, and Family

We are so blessed to have found you which allowed us to find Karlee. She has brought so much joy and love to our lives since the "adoption". Karlee has grown, if you want to call 3.2 lbs. "growing" into such a beautiful and perfect Yorkie. Any time we take her with us to Town Square, we can't hardly walk 10 feet without someone stopping us and wanting to look at Karlee. We have had so many great comments from passers-by about how "perfect" she is. She had traveled with us to Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina and everyone who sees her has the same comments about her perfect color, size and disposition. We had handed out all of your cards to people here in The Villages and told them the story about how wonderful you were to allow us to adopt Karlee even after you had chosen her to be one of your own family. Your kindness and generosity could never be repaid. And, even after we took Karlee home, whenever we called with questions about her behavior, care, etc., you were right here to offer advice and help to get us through the baby stage. I know we will enjoy and love Karlee for many years to come and thank you for bringing us together. She has brought us so much joy for this Christmas season that we didn't need any other gifts. Before coming to you we had searched many pet shops and breeders from Orlando to Ocala and all in between before visiting your home. Once we saw first hand how your dogs and puppies were bred and raised, and how you could trace the lineage right there at your ranch, we knew there was no need to look any further. We would highly recommend you and your service for anyone looking to adopt a new puppy, and especially a Yorkie. Best Regards, Joyce and Frank Kruppa, and Karlee Angel

After our beloved Gretchen, a 15 year old Yorkie passed away, we were uncertain about whether we should aquire another Yorkie. However, we also had a Komandor that was also 15 years old and didn't want her to grieve, as she too was becoming sad and not wanting to eat. We looked through the newpaper and found a listing advertising Yorkies, AKC cuties full of love and kisses. We certainly needed much love and kisses during this difficult time. I wouldn't get out to even see them at first, as I was crying and wasn't sure that I could love another Yorkie at that time. Cathy and Al were absolutely wonderful. Yes, we did pick the cutest little female. We were so fortunate that Cathy and Al had "The family tree" all about. We saw the mother, father, grandfather and aunt. I was amazed at how beautiful and clean Cathy and Al had it for their fantastically adorable Yorkies. The care and love that they give these cuties is so much more than we have ever seen. They really spoil all the puppies. All the puppies and their extended family were healthy, clean and very active. We were given an in depth folder of information, a piece of blanket from our new family member's bed. Cathy explained how to care for our cutie. Yes, after 15 years, a new puppy was quite a change for us. We had children at home to help out. We brought our new Yorkie home, chose a very long name, only to call her JoJo for short. JoJo fit in the palm of my hand. Our Aerial, Komandor, perked up and she had a new friend. This was last year on April 15th. We were so impressed with JoJo and perhaps felt bad we had left her cute little brother behind. The very next day we took JoJo back for a visit to her family, and purchased her brother, who goes by the nickname of KaCee. That was one of the best decisions we made during our grieving on the loss of Grethcn. Now Aerial had two playmates and was enjoying playing with them. Sadly, Aerial passed away 8 weeks later. Cathy has always been there when we call with questions, and we just feel a family bond there. We send pictures of JoJo and KaCee to Cathy, email her and call her. We would recommend anyone that loves Yorkies, and wants more then just a "dog", contact Cathy and Al. It is there you will find a "family".Thank you Cathy and Al, Kevin and Phyllis Douthett Proud Parents of JoJo and KaCee AKA: Yorkie Mania

I, Brittany, have always wanted a Sheltie; they are my favorite breed of dog. I even did a lot of research to fully learn every aspect of them. My mom and I first tried to go with a Sheltie Rescue Center to save one. But we ended up not going with them considering the difficulty they gave us. I now know that it was fate, and that was meant to happen. We first heard of Cathy and her "babies" from my dad who has done work for them. We decided to go ahead and put our name on the list to possibly have a new little addition to the family. That was the best decision we have ever made! As soon as we pulled up to Cathy's house, we felt a very friendly vibe. She came out with a big smile on her face, and we knew that something magical was about to happen. We walked in and took a look at everything around (the place is amazing; with a large area for the mommies and for the daddies). We then decided we were going to go with a Sheltie Cathy had to offer. It appeared that the dogs there are all very well taken care of. And we could see in Cathy's eyes that she loved each and every animal there. On our second trip, it was time to choose our pup. I went to see Godiva and Merlin's litter, and when I did...I saw the most adorable little doggie I have ever seen. He came right up to me,and put his paw in my hand. I decided right then that he was the one. Him and his other siblings were in very good conditions...the room is so clean and they're loved very much. I would completely recommend going with Cathy and no one else. She is an amazing lady. Not only with her doggies, but in general...she is so very sweet and wants the new pet owners to feel comfortable in taking home their new family member. She always welcomes us to come back and visit with Diego. She has been and will always be his Grandma. She can answer any question you have about your puppy. My mom and I are so happy to have gotten our little man (as we call him). Cathy, thank you so much for everything.

From the first time I spoke with Cathy on the phone about the new litter of puppies, one of which was to become our own Maggie Mae, I could tell she was a special lady with a big heart for animals. She encouraged my husband and me to come up and see their place and the new pups. When we met her in person and also saw what a clean, loving and nurturing environment the puppies were being raised in we were both amazed and impressed. We picked out our Maggie that morning and also got to meet her mom, Virginia and dad, Emerson and also her grandmother. Every dog and puppy on Cathy and Al's lovely property were so healthy and so well cared-for. All the alpacas, too! Over the next several weeks, Bob and I would visit our little Maggie, and Cathy always kept us updated about her and all the puppies' progress, even sending emails and photos. We both felt we couldn't have asked for a more loving and stable environment to pick a puppy from, and Cathy and Al were simply the greatest through the whole process. Our Maggie Mae has been a special joy for us - and she will celebrate her one-year birthday next month on July 3rd. Thank you so much Cathy and Al, for everything you did!Bob and Liz Waddey, Brooksville, FL

I was looking for a small dog for my 4 year old for Christmas. I came across a litter of Cat's Yorkie pups on the internet and fell in love. I told my daughter, Canyon Skye, Santa couldn't fly puppies on Christmas Eve because it was too cold. So, Santa sent her puppy to Miss Cathy. When we arrived at the beautiful home in the country, I told my daughter "there's Miss Cathy"! I couldn't stop the car fast enough. She was out of her car seat yelling "Miss Cathy, Miss Cathy!" We felt at home, and I knew this is where our puppy was meant to come from. My daughter told everyone that she saw a baby Alpaca. And, I boasted to all who know our little "Sparkles" what a warm and loving environment he came from. I whole heartedly encourage anyone looking for a dog to visit Cat and her home. You'll feel at home.Mary, Canyon and Sparkes De Chari

Dear Cathy, You were recommended to us by a friend who had just purchased a little Yorkie from you and we visited a short time later with a view to buying a Sheltie and having looked around your facility and being very impressed with the loving way that you and your husband raise the many animlas you have, we decided that we needed to look no further. We put our names down and awaited the birth of our puppy. You kept us updated and eventually we came up to see the litter and our new puppy. She was then around 2/3 weeks old and we did not bring her home with us for around another 5/6 weeks. She is a beautiful addition to our doggy family. We named her Abbie and she now spends hours and days just having fun with her two brothers, Dante, a Sheltie and Aramis, a Papillion. I would recommend anyone to contact you if they wished to buy a puppy. They are raised with love and you do a fantastic job. Thank you for all you do. Every best wish. Tim and Sue Stearn. When you are looking for the right pet for your family it can be exciting, but sometimes challenging if you don’t know where to go. When we met Cathy, her dogs and puppies, we knew right away that we found the right place. It is played out everyday in our lives owning one of her puppies. When we walked in to her place we knew that her dogs were loved and cared for. It is so evident in our Yorkshire terrier, Lily. She is very sweet and loving and has brought great joy in our lives. Cathy dogs are raised in a wonderful, loving home environment. They are good quality pets with good temperaments; they are physically beautiful, represent the breed and are strong and healthy. The puppies are raised with their parents, brothers and sisters. We believe because of all these things, this is why we have the dog that we have today. Cathy made us feel welcome and is very knowledgeable about the breeds she raises. She answered all of our questions and to this day we enjoy keeping in touch. We would definitely use Cathy as a breeder again in the future. The Taylor Family
